ILUG2007 Review

More than a week after ILUG2007 is over here are my final thoughts about it:
The conference was a huge success, everybody went home happy and feeling they got way more than what they paid for.
Although it's called "Irish" Lotus User Group you have got to try really hard to actually meet Irish people at the conference.
Ireland is a beautiful place and the Irish are great. Very friendly, helpful and fun people. Will be visiting again.
Met lots of great people from all over the world, some whose blogs I've been reading for a long time and some other anonymous admins\developers like myself.
Besides the organizers, there were a few more people involved in keeping things running, like Gayle Varner, Deborah Latter, Kelsey Oliver ( Rocky's daughter), Matt White and, of course, Volker who, among other things, organized the fund collection for Paul and Eileen's presents.
Having beer while a attending a session is definitely a good idea but I don't think you can do it anywhere except in Ireland, unfortunately.
GeekDinner at Nostromo was very nice, although some people took longer to get in than going through security checks at Heathrow.
Nice trip in Dublin Saturday morning and Glendalough and Avoca in the afternoon.
Here's a link to my set on flickr with some pictures (not many as most of the time the camera was with my wife visiting shops in Dublin).
Reminder: Check ILUG2008.org regularly to make sure I get a seat for 2008.
