For all of us who have not been hiding under a rock for the last few months there was really nothing new, but it is always better to see it for your self.
Ed Brill did a great job of showing what's new in R8 and a good preview of Connections, including a live demo of the later, which from what I've read not every event had. Thanks Ed.
IBM Portugal also brought in David Morrison who gave us a presentation on UC² and Mobility solutions and Arjan Radder who showed us Quickr, Dashboards, Forms and W4SAP. Local IBMer Ricardo Gomes presented Websphere Portal and some local partners had their shot also, I particularly liked the presentation given by Novabase on Connections, they really get all about it and seem to have a plan. This was a full day event with nearly full room, most of the partners were present and some customers to.
